We had an incredible day today: We received our FBI clearance over the mail, and heard word from immigration that our I800 was approved yesterday!
For both of the above, we were originally given timelines as long as 90 days, so this is truly amazing.
We are now in the process of finalizing our paperwork: Jeff has his doctor’s appointment on monday; we are awaiting the report from the psychologist (we met with her on the 13th) and are expecting an Apostille from New Jersey anytime this week.
We still don’t know when we will travel to Colombia, but are definitively hoping for February. We will meet with our case worker next week in order to turn in our remaining paperwork and hope to get a better idea of our travel dates.
In the mean time, we are getting ready to receive Sebastian Mateo. Jeff will paint the new nursery next week and we now have pretty much all his clothes and gear ready.
Santi has been out of diapers for a week now, which has been a great and unexpected advancement for us all.
We will post again once we have a better idea of when to travel to Colombia.
Yes, yes, yes!! That's amazing!! This process puts us on SUCH an emotional roller coaster, doesn't it? We are so happy for you guys, and will continue to pray that all of us are in Colombia in February!!
